I had one of these earlier this year. Had trouble immediately with the cylinder locking up. Hammer or trigger would not move. Release the cylinder, close, and it would be fine for a few more rounds. After

I like my new Taurus 605 as it shoots great after coming back from warranty for an adjustment. I looked forward to a new set of Crimson Trace Laser Grips. I ordered a set from a discount dealer only

got this a long time ago for out in the back country. very durable it's built like a tank. Accurate enough in 4". Just doesn't give me that ahhhhhh feeling when I shoot it. I don't know why that is. I would recomend to anyone on a budget to purchase this.

I just bought the Taurus 605 6 inch and am in love. Perfect for CCW, It does have a heavy trigger pull out of the box though. Has anyone tried manually losening the adjustable tension spring? I am afraid to attempt this myself since I don't want the hammer to fall too light.

I recently had time to try my new 605 .357 at the range after coming back from a warranty repair on the cylinder and WOW!!! It shoots great and seems to be very trustworthy for self defense. I ordered a set of Laser Grips for it.

I have a model 66 but it has a 6 inch barrel. I can't seem to find any information on it. It would appear I have the missing link between the 65 and the 66. Long barrel but only holds 5 instead of

i wood not advise doing any thing with the porting unless you were to change barrals the ported gun is louder ,but the diffrence hunting 1 time isnt going to make a diffrence on your hearring.whats that you say,,,

The one I owned and shot had the ported barrel. I was suprised at the accuracy. It actually shot real well for a Taurus. I sold it and bought a S&W. Probably did not keep it long enough to prove it out.

I own a Tracker 627 357 stainless. Use as a carry gun while hunting and have had to dispatch a couple of wild hogs with it. problem is the noise from the ported barrel. Has anyone heard of the practice

Return it or have the dealer return it and Taurus will fix it. If it is when fireing .357 then I had possibly the same problem with a new 605. My dealer send it back, Taurus fixed it, and in a couple

I have a 617, it is brand new and seems to jam up between 3rd and 4th round. Sending it back to Taurus. Hopefully, it'll get fixed and be the great little gun it is supposed to be.

Will Carry, the reason porting is not preferred for self-defense is because it is louder and directs the muzzle flash on top of the barrel destroying night vision.
The problem with it being louder

Hi all, I recently bought the Taurus Tracker model 627 in cal. .38, .357mag. The Tracker is a ported revolver which drastically reduces the recoil for me. The question I have about it is this, is

Have 2 model 605's , one blued w/ hammer and one stainless w/o hammer spur. Both are excellent, reliable shooters and accurate out to 10YDS, even with that 2" barrel. I dont think the muzzle

I've had my .357 mag Tracker for about 6 month, now. It is my first handgun, and it has performed perfectly up to now. I'm 65, and the long DA trigger pull is a little tough for my arthritic

I've got the Taurus 605 with 3" barrel and Hogue grip. This is what I carry when I'm working at the pawn shop. It's light and the small 5 shot frame makes it Ideal. Mine is very accurate, shoots to point of aim. Taurus has the best warranty in the business. Great little gun.
